With the school year in full swing I am forced to pry myself away from the Ocean State. Yes, I'll miss the beaches, the tidal rivers, the estuaries, and the stripers. But then again, the southern tip of the Berkshires isn't a bad place to spend the academic year. It may be awhile until I am back to swinging flatwings, but the trout of the Housatonic and Farmington Rivers will keep me company in the meantime.
Though S.K.S Adventures is mainly concerned with morone saxatilis, I have been fly fishing for trout long before I ever found my way to the salt. In many ways I cherish the pursuit of these fish and find myself very grateful to be able to spend my falls, winters, and early springs 15 minutes from the Housatonic River TMA and 45 minutes from the Farmington River.
From now until May-June my fishing reports will mostly be trout related. I will continue to post about striper flies, striper gear, striper techniques, and other things, so keep an eye out for those posts as well. The Striper season may be waning, but S.K.S Adventures is not!
